Our metallurgic research team identify the metallurgic properties of new products to be manufactured, taking into consideration the working conditions of engine bearings and customer demands. Stated below are the properties taken into account when choosing raw materials that can differ according to where the engine bearing shall be used :
- A high load carrying capacity; in other words maximum fatigue strength;
- Compatibility; in other words, two parts that operate under friction conditions move independent of each other;
- The raw materials shall not be too hard, and they should absorb formed particles;
- Geometric compatibility;
- Tensile strength, sliding strength, impact resistance, and compression strength.
New studies are underway which take into account future metallurgic technologies.
